HOUSTON, TX (July 15, 2024) – Saturday night, a brutal pedestrian crash on 8500 Mykawa killed one person.

The incident happened at around 11:57 p.m. at the 8500 block of Mykawa.

According to the Houston Police Department, a northbound pickup struck a male pedestrian for still unknown reasons.

HPD confirmed that the pedestrian who was possibly in his early to mid-30s, died in the crash.

Also, authorities said that the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, but showed signs of intoxication.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the HPD continued to investigate the crash.
