SAN DIEGO, CA (June 1, 2023) – Wednesday morning, a brutal pedestrian crash on 4100 Home Avenue killed 1 person.

The incident occurred just before 5:00 a.m. at 4100 Home Avenue.

Reports said that a black 2007 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck was driving east in the number two lane. Meanwhile, a 59-year-old female was walking west in the number two eastbound lane of 4100 Home Avenue.”

Police confirmed that the pedestrian walked “parallel to the roadway and was not in a crosswalk.”

As a result, the Chevy truck hit the pedestrian, sending her into the number one lane. “A white pickup truck ran over the victim as she was laying in the roadway,” officers added.

When responding emergency crews arrived, they immediately initiated life-saving measures. However, they eventually declared her dead at the scene.

After the crash, both the Chevy’s driver and the driver of the white pickup stayed at the scene.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
