1 Dead in Houston Pedestrian Accident on 15502 Waverly Drive

HOUSTON, TX (March 18, 2024) – Sunday, a 1-year-old girl died in a brutal pedestrian crash on 15502 Waverly Drive.

The incident happened at 15502 Waverly Drive in northern Harris County.

Reports said that after an Uber driver dropped off a family, including the child, the victim was hit. Apparently, the driver thought that the path was clear and went forward, running over the victim.

Responders took the child to HCA-Kingwood Medical Center in critical condition, where she was declared dead.

Officers later identified the driver as Muhammad Khan.

Meanwhile, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez revealed that family members of the victim assaulted the driver. Thus, responders took him to Houston Northwest Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He was cooperating with the investigation and showed no signs of impairment.

Moreover, the authorities filed no charges against Khan or the victim’s family yet.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
