MODESTO, CA (August 21, 2023) – Saturday night, a brutal pedestrian crash near Tully Road and Briggsmore Avenue killed 1 person.

The incident happened at about 5:00 p.m. near Tully Road and Briggsmore Avenue.

According to reports, a GMC Yukon traveled east on Briggsmore Avenue when it struck a car at Tully Road.

Then, the GMC went south on Tully Road and struck another car causing the GMC driver to lose control.

As a result, the GMC overturned and the male driver was ejected. Responders took him to the hospital where he later succumbed to injuries.

Meanwhile, the occupants of the other cars sustained only minor injuries. Officers said that alcohol played a role in the crash.
