Brutal Pedestrian Accident on 43rd Street Injures 73-Year-Old Man [San Diego, CA]

San Diego, CA (November 02, 2023) On Tuesday evening, a 73-yeear-old man was hurt and hospitalized after a pedestrian accident on 43rd Street.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the auto-pedestrian collision happened around 6:43 p.m. on the 1600 block of S 43rd Street near the north side of Gamma Street.

Reports say that a northbound 1998 Toyota Camry, driven by a 74-year-old woman, crossed the intersection with Gamma Street and hit the male pedestrian, north of the intersection.

Medics say that the man suffered a fractured pelvis, multiple facial fractures, and a brain bleed. The patients injuries were considered non-life-threatening.

SDPD’s Traffic Division is investigating the auto-pedestrian collision.
