The incident happened at about 7:15 p.m. in the 200 block of East Koshiba Place.

According to reports, a Ford SUV struck a pedestrian in the planned community of Mountain House, the CHP said.

After crashing into the pedestrian, the SUV rammed into a house garage.

Meanwhile, the authorities declared one person dead at the scene.
