1 Dead in Sacramento Multi-Vehicle Accident on Fulton Avenue

SACRAMENTO, CA (May 19, 2024) – Saturday afternoon, a brutal multi-vehicle crash on Fulton Avenue killed 1 person.

The incident was the result of a DUI which happened at about 5:30 p.m. on Fulton Avenue.

According to reports, a 50-year-old man driving a Dodge pickup truck was rear-ended by a speeding Toyota SUV, causing the Toyota to veer into the northbound lanes and crash head-on into a Volkswagen SUV. Meanwhile, the baby and driver in the Volkswagen were uninjured and taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Emergency personnel declared the Dodge driver dead at the scene. The Toyota driver, who sustained minor injuries, was arrested on suspicion of DUI. The incident prompted road closures between Macroni Avenue and El Camino Avenue for the investigation by Metro Fire and California Highway Patrol, but all roadways have since been reopened.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
