LIVERMORE, CA (October 19, 2023) – Tuesday afternoon, a brutal motorcycle crash on North Mines Road and Shirley Way killed 1 person.

The incident happened at 4:50 p.m. on North Mines Road and Shirley Way. According to reports, the crash involved a car and a motorcycle.

Reports revealed that as the motorcycle headed north on North Mines Road, an SUV turning onto Shirley Way collided with it.

As a result, the motorcyclist, a Livermore man in his 30s, succumbed to injuries at the scene.

Meanwhile, the driver of the car, a Livermore woman in her 60s, remained at the scene and has been cooperative with the investigation.

Police suspect that she didn’t notice the motorcycle and thus did not yield to it.

Also, the authorities do not believe that drugs and alcohol played a role in the crash.

Mines Road from East Avenue to Dana Circle and Shirley Way between Hollice Lane and Mines Road were shut down for some time.
