PANORAMA, CA (January 21, 2024) – Saturday night, a brutal hit-and-run crash on Wakefield Avenue near Roscoe Boulevard killed one person.

The incident happened at around 6:05 p.m. on Wakefield Avenue near Roscoe Boulevard.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a westbound black pickup truck struck a female pedestrian who was walking northbound outside a marked crosswalk. Then, the suspect vehicle fled the scene northbound and onto Lennox Avenue.

Moreover, responders rushed the victim to a hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
