1 Dead in San Ysidro Pedestrian Accident on State Route 905

SAN YSIDRO, CA (March 17, 2024) – Early Saturday, a brutal hit-and-run crash on State Route 905 killed 1 person.

The crash occurred just a few minutes after midnight on westbound State Route 905, said CHP Officer Salvador Castro.

According to reports, as the woman walked in traffic lanes, she was hit by an unknown vehicle. Then, the vehicle continued going, leaving the woman dead at the scene.

Also, the authorities temporarily shut down all westbound lanes of State Route 905, east of Beyer Boulevard.

Moreover, they haven’t determined why the woman was on the freeway.

Furthermore, the authorities urged anyone who witnessed the crash to contact the CHP’s San Diego-area office at (858) 293-6000.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
