1 Dead in Harbor City Scooter Accident on Pacific Coast Highway and Vermont Avenue

HARBOR CITY, CA (March 13, 2024) – Monday night, a brutal hit-and-run crash on Pacific Coast Highway and Vermont Avenue killed 1 person.

The incident happened at about 10:20 p.m. on Pacific Coast Highway and Vermont Avenue in Harbor City.

Los Angeles Police Department officers from the department’s Harbor Division responded to Pacific Coast Highway and Vermont Avenue where they found the driver was driving west on PCH. Then, the vehicle hit the scooter rider and did not stop to render aid.

Los Angeles Fire Department personnel declared the victim dead at the scene.

Also, officers provided no description of the driver or vehicle.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
