1 Person Dead in Tucson Pedestrian Accident on East Broadway Boulevard and North Montego Drive

TUCSON, AZ (November 6, 2024) – Sunday night, a brutal hit-and-run crash on East Broadway Boulevard and North Montego Drive killed one person.

The incident happened around 10:00 p.m. on East Broadway Boulevard and North Montego Drive, just east of North Kolb Road.

Tucson Police Department said that a westbound vehicle struck a male pedestrian who was in the roadway near an unmarked crosswalk.

Officers confirmed that the victim died in the crash.

Authorities said that the driver of the vehicle fled the scene without stopping to provide aid.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the Tucson Police Department continued to investigate the crash.
