OAKLAND, CA (January 16, 2024) – Sunday morning, a woman died in a brutal hit-and-run crash on 9000 MacArthur Boulevard.

The incident occurred just before 9:00 a.m. in the 9000 block of MacArthur Boulevard.

According to reports, a woman waking south in the westbound lane was hit by a white Cadillac DeVille four-door that was driving west on MacArthur.

Officers confirmed that the woman used a crosswalk at the time of the crash.

Meanwhile, the Cadillac driver fled the scene.

Then, responders took the female pedestrian to the hospital where she succumbed to injuries. Also, her identity remained undisclosed due to pending family notification.

Moreover, the authorities haven’t determined whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
