1 Person Dead in Modesto Pedestrian Accident on 6th Street and Highway 99
MODESTO, CA (February 19, 2024) – Friday night, a brutal hit-and-run crash on 6th Street and Highway 99 killed one person.
The incident happened at around 3:00 p.m. on 6th Street at the Highway 99 offramp.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle struck a pedestrian, then fled the scene without stopping to provide aid.

Furthermore, officers managed to locate and arrest the suspect, identified as a 32-year-old man from Ceres, for homicide and domestic violence charges.
