1 Person Dead in Los Angeles Scooter Accident near Western Avenue and Sierra Vista Avenue

LOS ANGELES, CA (October 30, 2023) – Sunday morning, a brutal hit-and-run crash near Western Avenue and Sierra Vista Avenue killed one person.

The incident happened at around 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of Western Avenue and Sierra Vista Avenue.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a northbound black sedan struck a man on a Lime scooter who was crossing Western Avenue. Then, the force of the crash ejected the scooter rider into the roadway. Moments later, a southbound vehicle struck the scooter, noticed the victim who was already down on the pavement, and called 911.

Moreover, Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics rushed the victim to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Furthermore, officers confirmed that the black sedan fled the scene without stopping to provide aid.
