EAST OAKLAND, CA (April 9, 2024) – Monday morning, a brutal hit-and-run crash near 75th Avenue and San Leandro Street killed 1 person.

The incident occurred at around 12:45 a.m. near 75th Avenue and San Leandro Street, a release from Oakland police revealed.

When the officers arrived, they located the victim with injuries sustained from being hit by a car. Officers added that the involved vehicle fled from the collision.

Despite emergency medical aid, the victim succumbed to injuries at the scene. Also, the victim’s identity remained undisclosed due to pending family notification.

Furthermore, the authorities urged anyone with information about the crash to contact the Oakland Police Department Traffic Investigation Unit at (510) 777-8570.
