1 Dead in Mojave Auto Accident on Redrock Randsburg Road and Garlock Road

MOJAVE, CA (January 9, 2024) – Monday morning, a 53-year-old Topeka woman died in a brutal head-on crash on Redrock Randsburg Road.

The incident happened at about 8:36 a.m. on Redrock Randsburg Road, west of Garlock Road.

Reports revealed that a 53-year-old California City woman drove a white Mercedes westbound on Redrock Randsburg Road.

Meanwhile, the Topeka woman drove a white Hyundai eastbound on Redrock Randsburg Road.

As the two drivers approached each other, a head-on collision occurred.

As a result, the Topeka woman succumbed to injuries at the scene. Meanwhile, her 49-year-old male passenger from California City was transported to a hospital with severe injuries.

Furthermore, the authorities do not believe that river impairment is a contributing factor to this collision at this time.

Also, the authorities urged anyone who witnessed the crash to contact Officer Pousson at the CHP Mojave Area office at (661) 823-5500.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
