1 Dead and 2 Injured in Llano Auto Accident on Highway 138 and Puzzle Canyon Road

LLANO, CA (August 16, 2023) – Monday morning, a brutal head-on crash on Highway 138 and Puzzle Canyon Road killed 1 person.

The incident happened at around 10:40 a.m. on Highway 138 at Puzzle Canyon Road.

The California Highway Patrol and firefighters from Los Angeles County Fire Department and San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the scene.

Reports revealed that the crash involved a Nissan pick-up truck possibly a white Titan truck and a red semi tractor trailer both with major front-end damage.

Also, both vehicles caught fire after impact.

Reports said that as the male driver of the Nissan drove west, it crashed head-on into the semi traveling eastbound.

Then, the driver and passenger of the semi managed to exit before the semi caught fire. Then, responders took both of them via helicopter to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with major injuries.

However, the truck driver succumbed to injuries at the scene. His identity remained undisclosed due to pending family notification.

Moreover, the authorities do not believe that alcohol and/or drugs played a role in the crash.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
