2 Dead in Sonoma County Auto Accident on Highway 116

SONOMA COUNTY, CA (December 10, 2023) – Saturday morning, a brutal head-on crash on Highway 116 killed 2 people.

The incident happened at about 12:11 a.m. on Highway 116 near Sebastopol in Sonoma County.

Officers revealed that the crash involved a sedan and an SUV.

According to a social media post, the sedan was heading when it veered into the opposing lane and crashed with the SUV.

As a result, the driver and front passenger in the sedan succumbed to injuries on-site. Meanwhile, the back passenger in the sedan and the SUV’s driver were both taken to the hospital with injuries described as “major.”

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
