1 Dead in Apple Valley Auto Accident on Central Road and Pahute Avenue

APPLE VALLEY, CA (March 28, 2024) – Wednesday morning, a brutal head-on crash on Central Road and Pahute Avenue killed 1 person.

The incident happened just after 12:10 a.m. at Central Road, just north of Pahute Avenue.

According to reports, a Ford Ranger driven by a 33-year-old San Bernardino man was driving south on Central Avenue. Then, a Dodge Durango driven by a 47-year-old Phelan woman was driving south.

“For an unknown reason, the Ford left the roadway causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle,” according to the statement. “The Ford crossed into the northbound lane and crashed into the Dodge Durango.”

Responders took the Ford Ranger driver to a hospital, where he soon succumbed to his injuries. His identity remained undisclosed Wednesday morning.

Moreover, the driver of the Dodge Durango was airlifted to a hospital by helicopter with major injuries in stable condition.
