2 People Dead in Tustin Auto Accident on Newport Avenue and First Street

TUSTIN, CA (November 8, 2023) – Early Monday morning, a brutal fiery vehicle crash on Newport Avenue and First Street killed two people.

The incident happened just after midnight, at 13300 Newport Avenue and First Street.

According to reports, a car traveling at a high rate of speed crashed into a U.S. Bank branch and erupted into flames. Also, officers confirmed that the vehicle, a Camaro, was first spotted by authorities speeding at First and Yorba streets, but wasn’t able to initiate a chase due to its high rate of speed.

Moreover, responders pronounced the male driver and a female passenger of the Camaro, dead at the scene.

Furthermore, officers reported that the occupants of the vehicle died on impact and not from the flames.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
