1 Dead in Oakland Auto Accident on MacArthur Boulevard and Harrison Street

OAKLAND, CA (July 4, 2024) – Wednesday afternoon, a woman died in a brutal car crash on MacArthur Boulevard and Harrison Street.

The incident occurred at around 12:51 p.m. on MacArthur Boulevard and Harrison Street, a few blocks from Kaiser Hospital. 

Reports said that the vehicle the women were in collided with an Interstate 580 overpass support pillar. 

Meanwhile, the female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver was rushed to a hospital in critical condition and is currently undergoing surgery, according to police.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
