Fortuna, CA (November 04, 2023) On Friday morning, a 9-year-old boy was hurt and hospitalized after a bicycle crash on Rohnerville Road.

According to the Fortuna Police Department, the auto-pedestrian collision happened around 7:49 a.m. at Rohnerville Road and Kenmar Kenwood Road.

Reports say that a vehicle stopped at a stop sign at Kenwood turned south onto Rohnerville Road and struck the boy riding a bicycle to school.

Officials say that the collision caused injuries to the minor, medics say that the boy suffered laceration to their leg, a left knee deformity, and the boy had gone under the vehicle.

Medics rushed the injured juvenile to St. Joseph Hospital.

Authorities are investigating the auto-pedestrian collision.
