1 Dead in Sacramento Bicycle Accident near 21st Street and X Street
SACRAMENTO, CA (January 18, 2024) – Tuesday morning, a brutal bicycle crash near 21st Street and X Street killed 1 person.
The incident happened at about 7:45 a.m. near 21st Street and X Street.
According to reports, a 55-year-old woman rode her bike near the Land Park area. Then, she was hit by a vehicle.
Then, responders took the bicyclist to an area hospital with serious injuries. However, she succumbed to her injuries on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, at about 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, officers found the suspect vehicle driving near 19th Street and Broadway.
Then, they stopped the vehicle and arrested the 63-year-old man. He is now facing charges of felony hit-and-run and manslaughter and is being held at the Sacramento County Jail.
