JOHNSON PARK, CA (July 5, 2023) – Monday night, a brutal bicycle accident on Highway 299 and Rocky Ridge Road killed 1 person.

The incident occurred just after 9:00 p.m. on Highway 299, east of Rocky Ridge Road in the Johnson Park area.

Officers confirmed that the authorities arrived at the scene at about 9:40 p.m., thirty minutes after the call came in.

Then, they declared the bicycle rider dead at the scene. Moreover, the SUV involved in the crash was towed away.

Officers noted that the elderly driver didn’t require hospitalization. Moreover, the authorities haven’t disclosed the identity of the deceased due to pending family notification.
