1 Dead in Chambers County Vehicle Crash on Interstate Highway 10 at 806 Mile Marker

CHAMBERS COUNTY, TX (September 10, 2023) – Saturday afternoon, a brutal auto accident on Interstate Highway 10 at 806 Mile Marker killed 1 person.

The incident happened at around 1:20 p.m. at the 806 mile marker eastbound on Interstate 10.

According to reports, deputies and Texas DPS troopers came to the scene.

Meanwhile, the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office revealed that a construction-style front-end loader headed east on the Interstate 10 Trinity River Bridge was being followed by another vehicle with its hazards on.

When the front-end loader came down the other side of the bridge at a slow rate of speed, a semi-truck traveling in the same direction hit the rear of the passenger vehicle and front-end loader.

DPS added that the driver of the passenger vehicle which was following the front-end loader died in the crash.

Moreover, the Interstate Highway 10 has since reopened.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
