AVONDALE, AZ (December 5, 2023) – Monday morning, a brutal auto accident near Central Avenue and Western Avenue killed 1 person.

The incident happened at about 7:10 a.m. near Central Avenue and Western Avenue, just north of Buckeye Road.

According to officers, the incident involved a 62-year-old woman who succumbed to injuries after being rushed to a nearby hospital. Meanwhile, the other driver, a 19-year-old man, sustained no injuries in the crash.

Also, the incident shut down the intersection of Central and Western throughout the morning.
