1 Person Dead in Fresno Auto Accident on Highway 168 near Ashlan Avenue

FRESNO, CA (September 6, 2023) – Tuesday morning, a brutal two-vehicle crash on Highway 168 near Ashlan Avenue killed one person.

The incident happened at around 3:00 a.m. on eastbound Highway 168 near the Ashlan Avenue offramp.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a Dodge Charger lost control for still unknown reasons and collided with a Nissan Altima. Then, the force of the crash pushed the Nissan to roll over onto its roof.

As a result, paramedics rushed a female occupant of the Altima to Community Regional Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead. Then, responders transported the male driver of the Dodge to Community Regional Medical Center, with major injuries.

At this time, the cause of the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
