SANTA ANA, CA (July 23, 2023) – Saturday morning, a brutal 2-vehicle crash on 2400 E 17th Street killed 1 person.

The crash occurred just after 8:00 a.m. at 2400 E 17th Street, said the Santa Ana Police.

According to reports, a car was trying to exit State Route 55 (Costa Mesa Freeway) onto 17th Street at a high rate of speed. However, it crashed into the cement truck which was stopped in the left turn lane.

As a result, the sedan driver succumbed to injuries at the scene. Meanwhile, his passenger suffered critical injuries and was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
