Brutal 2-Car Crash on FM 973 Kills 3 People [Austin, TX]

Austin, TX (March 30, 2024) Early morning Saturday, 3 people were killed and 4 others were hurt in a violent 2-car crash on FM 973.

According to Austin-Travis County EMS (ATCEMS), the deadly traffic collision happened at about 2:25 a.m. near Farm-to-Market 973 and Platt Lane.

Reports say that the horrific crash involved 2 vehicles. additionally, 4 ambulances and STAR Flight responded to the scene.

Officials pronounced 3 people dead at the scene. Meanwhile, a person was trapped and suffered critical injuries, while 3 other people suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The patient with critical injuries was airlifted to the hospital, while the 3 other patients were taken to the hospital.

DPS is investigating the fatal traffic collision and has not released further details about the incident.
