Bakersfield police say that a pedestrian accident happened at around 9:43 p.m. in central Bakersfield.

Reports say that a black vehicle struck the pedestrian crossing the street, and the black vehicle fled the scene after the crash.

Afterward, an SUV hit the pedestrian again. Paramedics say that the pedestrian sustained major injuries, and medics transported the patient to a hospital.
