Missing El Dorado County Woman Found Dead Inside Vehicle at Church Parking Lot

EL DORADO HILLS, CA (February 20, 2019) – A woman was found dead in a church parking lot Wednesday afternoon around 4:30 p.m. in El Dorado Hills.

A 48-year-old Brooke Harris of El Dorado Hills was reportedly missing since Valentine’s Day. Less than a week later, the sheriff’s office said they were dispatched to a report of an unresponsive female inside a 2015 Toyota Highlander at a local church parking lot.

First responders declared the woman dead upon arrival and deputies recognized the vehicle as belonging to Harris.

According to the sheriff’s office, Harris was last seen on February 13 by her daughter. Her phone was later found in her home Thursday after she had placed a call to her husband that morning.

Surveillance cameras at Red Hawk Casino spotted Harris, apparently alone, in her vehicle on February 14 around 4:30 p.m. There was no video evidence that she ever entered the casino.

While her cause of death is under investigation, officials said there was no evidence of foul play or criminal activity.

No additional information was provided at this time. We will continue to update this post as new details are released.

No words can mend the broken hearts and sorrow felt during this delicate moment. Our deepest condolences and sympathies are with the loved ones and friends of Brooke Harris.
