Briseida Mariscal Killed in Wright Street Accident [Selma, CA]

Selma, CA (December 19, 2022) – On December 8, Briseida Mariscal, 16, a junior student at Selma High School, sustained fatal injuries following a Wright Street accident.

Reports say the victim was walking in the area of Floral Avenue from her mother’s job when she was struck by a car in the middle of the crosswalk.

“She was crossing the street and I guess there were two cars from the opposite direction and they were more concentrated on making the turn and didn’t pay attention to anybody passing or anything like that and he accidentally hit her,” an officer said.

Then on December 15, 2022, a week later on Briseida Mariscal’s seventeenth birthday, she succumbed to her injuries in the hospital.
