Richard Roberts Arrested After Fatal DUI Accident on 8th Street and Euclid Avenue
LONG BEACH, CA (January 30, 2018) – A drunk-driver caused a fatal collision near Wilson High School on Tuesday evening, that took the life of a 49-year-old Long Beach woman, Bridget Ingham.
Authorities responded to the collision that took place around 7:50 PM at 8th Street and Euclid Avenue. The fatal crash involved a blue 2006 Toyota Tacoma and a black 2007 Honda Fit.
Police reported that 53-year-old Long Beach man, Richard Roberts, was under the influence of alcohol when he broadsided Ingham’s Honda right on the driver’s side. The collision caused both cars to swerve north and stop on the north-south lanes of Euclid Ave. Ingham was transported to a nearby hospital with critical injuries, where she was later pronounced dead.
Roberts was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
