Motorcyclist Fatally Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on River Road near Kalus Avenue
CORONA, CA (February 6, 2020) – A woman was killed in a motorcycle hit-and-run crash Wednesday evening in Corona, authorities said.
The crash happened around 7:40 p.m. on River Road near Kalus Avenue.
According to Corona police, a 48-year-old Brenda Richardson of Eastvale was riding her motorcycle westbound on River Road. A vehicle turned onto her path from the opposite lane and struck her near Kalus Avenue.
The impact ejected Richardson from her bike and caused her severe injuries. Paramedics took her to a hospital in critical condition. She died Thursday morning, police said.
The vehicle that hit her, described as a white or cream-colored sedan, fled the scene and was last seen heading east on Penrose Avenue, witnesses told police.
Police are searching for the driver responsible for the crash. They said the car involved would have significant damage to its passenger side.
The hit-and-run crash is under investigation, and no further details were available.
