Destiny Stevens, Breanne Freshour Injured in Vancouver Car Accident
VANCOUVER, WA (September 6, 2019) – Two female teenagers sustained injuries in a rollover car accident on Highway 14 on September 4.
Police, fire and medical crews all came to the scene before 5:30 p.m. The incident occurred on State Highway 14 near the Columbia House Boulevard exit. Upon their arrival, they located a silver 2000 Lexus RX on its top.
Reports revealed that the car traveled east when the driver lost control, hit a barrier on the left and overturned.
The 16-year-old driver Breanne R. Freshour of Ridgefield and her 16-year-old passenger Destiny S. Stevens both went to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. They are both in stable condition by Wednesday night.
Meanwhile, a second passenger didn’t suffer any injury.
The collision shut down all eastbound lanes in the area for several minutes. Several vehicles started driving the wrong way to exit the highway.
According to reports, the occupants of the vehicle wore seat belts during the incident. Authorities ruled out drugs and alcohol as factors in the collision.
Moreover, authorities cited Freshour for driving with wheels off the roadway. The collision left the Lexus to a totaled state and a towing service removed it from the scene.
