Head-On Crash with Semi Truck in Dairyville Kills 3 and Badly Injures 1
DAIRYVILLE, CA (December 21, 2019) – A man and two children were killed in a head-on crash Saturday noon in Dairyville.
The crash happened around 12:00 p.m. on Highway 99 near 62nd Avenue.
CHP officials said a 2013 Honda Insight, driven by 18-year-old Brayden Lee Frazier of Chico, crossed into the southbound lane and struck a Freightliner truck head-on.
Two children inside the Honda, a boy, 7, and a girl, 8, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Frazier and his girlfriend, 27-year-old Eva Mirrin Davies of Lewiston, sustained major injuries. Paramedics took them to Enloe Medical Center in Chico, according to the CHP. Fraizer succumbed to his injuries Monday.
Davies is the mother of the two children.
The driver of the semi, 28-year-old Gurinder Singh Sekhon of Live Oak, was not injured.
It is unknown whether alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.
