Big Rig Overturns after Crash with SUV in Brawley, Injuries Reported
BRAWLEY, CA (November 21, 2018) – Three people were injured following a big rig rollover crash Wednesday morning in Brawley, according to an initial dispatch.
The crash happened around 7:55 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 86 and Highway 78, just near the US Border Patrol Station checkpoint.
CHP officials said that the big rig with two trailers collided with an SUV for unknown reasons. The impact caused the big rig to overturn, injuring its female driver. Two occupants in the SUV were also hurt from the crash.
Emergency crews were called to the scene and provided medical attention to the injured victims. Towing services were also requested to remove the vehicles and clear the wreckage.
An investigation is still ongoing to determine who was at fault and to gather all the factors involved in the accident.
