1 Injured in San Angelo Fatal Crash
Eastland County, TX (March 23, 2024) – Brandon Woods and Annabelle Neely, both 18 years old from Abilene, were killed following an Interstate 20 collision.
Texas DPS officers said the traffic collision happened at 7:20 a.m. in San Angelo.
Investigators stated that a vehicle was westbound in the left lane on the highway at milepost 357 when the driver drifted off the left side of the road toward the center median.
The vehicle then vaulted into Russell Creek and landed on its front.
As a result, the front right passenger was partially ejected while the back seat passenger was thrown from the vehicle. They were Brandon Woods and Annabelle Neely.
Officers declared both Woods and Neely deceased at the crash scene at 7:30 a.m.
Furthermore, 19-year-old Kaiden Nathaniel Newby was the third occupant of the vehicle. He was rushed to John Peter Smith Hospital in Ft. Worth, Texas, with incapacitating injuries.
Troopers said Woods and Neely were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash while Newby wasn’t.
This fatal collision is under investigation.
