37-Year-Old Man ID’ed after Car Plunges into Port Washington Narrows
BREMERTON, WA (April 20, 2018) – A man was fatally injured in a single-vehicle crash on Tracyton Beach Road, early Friday morning. The driver was identified as Brandon Ready, 37, of Belfair.
Bremerton Police arrived at the scene after receiving reports about the crash that occurred around 4:50 AM at the 2600 block of Tracyton Beach Road. Responding officers found the vehicle in the water off Pat Carey Vista Park, with its cabin underwater.
It was determined that the car veered off the road and plunged into the Port Washington Narrows. A Bremerton police officer and another person pulled Ready from the car and rendered CPR, according to a police statement. Ready was taken to Harrison Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
Authorities believe that alcohol and speed factors to the crash, but Bremerton Police are still investigating the incident.
