Brandon Hicks Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Highway 99 in Chico
Chico, CA (January 19, 2021) – On Thursday, 49-year-old Brandon Hicks of Chico lost his life in a hit-and-run crash on Highway 99.
The fatal crash happened at around 7 p.m. north of Meridian Road in Chico.
Authorities said Hicks was walking along the east side of the roadway and was not visible to drivers.
Also, it’s not yet identified how he was in the path of the car that struck him.
Meanwhile, police closed Highway 99 for nearly four hours while they investigated.
