1 Dead in Liberty Auto Accident on Highway 290 near North Ash Avenue

LIBERTY, MO (August 27, 2024) – Sunday morning, Brandon Durossette died in a brutal traffic crash on Highway 290 near North Ash Avenue.

Reports said that the incident occurred at 2:25 a.m. on Highway 291 near North Ash Avenue.

A preliminary investigation revealed a Cadillac CTS4 traveling north on Hwy. 291 crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a southbound Honda Pilot. 

Meanwhile, the driver of the Cadillac, 18-year-old Durossette from Smithville, Missouri, was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later passed away. Moreover, the driver of the Honda, whose identity has not been released, was also taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. 

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Furthermore, the Liberty Police Department is continuing to investigate the crash.
