WILDOMAR, CA (April 28, 2019) – A man was killed after his car left the roadway late Sunday afternoon in Wildomar.
The Riverside County Coroner’s Office identified the man as Brandon Brown, 23, of Murrieta.
Around 5:24 p.m., Brown was driving a Mazda 3 when his vehicle left the roadway at Bundy Canyon Road, just West of Almond Street, hit a street sign, a chain-link fence and crashed into a cinder-block wall, authorities said.
Brown suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Bundy Canyon Road was closed for five hours.
Alcohol and drugs may have been a factor in the crash, a sheriff’s statement said.
An investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information was asked to call the Lake Elsinore sheriff’s station at 951-245-3300.
