DUI Suspected in Fatal Crash near Key Pointe Avenue
HESPERIA, CA (January 26, 2020) – The authorities confirmed that Brandon Bachelier died in a head-on crash on Amargosa Road on late Friday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at approximately 11:57 PM near Key Pointe Avenue.
Reports the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office showed that a 2003 Honda Accord traveled northbound on Amargosa when it went into the southbound lanes and collided head-on with a 2016 Kia Forte. 40-year-old Bachelier, the Honda driver, had been ejected from his car.
The paramedics performed life-saving measures. However, Bachelier died at the scene.
The 20-year-old female driver of the Kia remained at the scene of the collision.
Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the fatal accident.
