Jasper County, MO (December 20, 2024) On Wednesday evening, 46-year-old Brandie Duvall of Joplin was arrested after disastrous T-bone crash on Blackcat Road left a 60-year-old woman hurt.

According to authorities, the suspected DWI crash happened around 6 p.m. at West 7th Street and Blackcat Road.

Reports say that the collision involved a T-bone crash at highway speeds, causing one vehicle to overturn.

Officials say that Duvall was driving a 2012 Dodge Journey northbound on Blackcat Road when she failed to yield at West 7th Street. She collided with a 2014 GMC Terrain driven by a 60-year-old woman from Baxter Springs, Kansas, who was traveling west. The impact caused the GMC to overturn onto its roof.

Emergency crews transported the GMC driver to a Joplin hospital with serious injuries.

Authorities arrested Duvall charged with multiple offenses, including: felony DWI and failure to yield involving a motor vehicle crash.

Duvall was booked into the Jasper County Jail, and her court date remains pending.
