Mark McDaniel Injured in Solo-Vehicle Crash on Highway 20
Howard County, TX (February 6, 2024) On Saturday afternoon, 51-year-old Brandi McDonald and a 17-year-old girl were killed in a single-vehicle collision on IH-20.
According to the Texas DPS, the solo-vehicle crash happened at about 2:30 p.m. on eastbound Highway 20.
Reports say that an eastbound vehicle, driven by 58-year-old Mark McDaniel, crashed into a guardrail on the inside shoulder, officials say that the guardrail entered the car, injuring all the people inside.
Officials say that McDonald and the teenage girl were passengers in McDaniel’s vehicle. Moreover, officials pronounced the teenager dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, McDonald was rushed to Scenic Mountain Medical Center, however, she ultimately succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Authorities say that McDaniel was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
DPS is investigating the solo-vehicle crash and has not released further details at this time.
