Child Injured in Callahan County Deadly Crash
Callahan County, TX (August 29, 2024) – Brandi Deann Ross, 37, of Santa Anna, was killed in a Highway 283 collision early Wednesday morning.
It was about 5:36 a.m. when the deadly crash happened 13.1 miles south of Baird.
Troopers said Brandi Deann Ross was driving a southbound sedan on the highway when she struck a deer in the road. Her car veered off the road and into a tree.
Immediately, the responding medical team rushed Ross and her seven-year-old passenger to Hendrick Medical Center, where Ross was declared deceased at 12:42 p.m.
The child passenger incurred minor injuries.
