Nevada, TX (May 16, 2023) On Friday evening, 18-year-old Bradon Kidd died in a tragic motorcycle accident on FM 1138.

TxDOT says that the multi-vehicle crash happened at around 6:40 p.m. at the intersection of FM 1138 and County Road 541.

Reports say that 2 passenger vehicles and a motorcycle collided at the intersection. Officials identified the motorcyclist as Kidd, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities say that Kidd was on his way to meet his parents for dinner to celebrate his recent graduation.

Officials say that a northbound car failed to see Kidd, who was southbound on his motorcycle, after turning left behind another vehicle. Officers say that the car did not yield the right-of-way to northbound traffic.

The impact of the crash caused the motorcycle to turn and hit another vehicle at the stop sign at FM 1138 and CR 541.
