Bradley Murchison Dead, Travis Burns, Russell Edwards and Anthony Slater Injured in Fatal DUI Crash in Oak Run
OAK RUN, CA (June 11, 2019) – A man was killed following a DUI crash Tuesday evening in Oak Run, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The Shasta County Sheriff’s Office identified the deceased victim as Bradley Daniel Murchison, 27, of Oak Run.
The crash happened just before 10:00 p.m., on Oak Run Road. First responders arrived just West of Fern Road shortly after.
Murchison was driving a 2006 Ford F-350 at the time. He was traveling east on Oak Run Road he veered off the roadway and eventually overturned as a result.
Due to the impact of the collision, Murchison was ejected from the vehicle and was later pronounced dead at the scene. He was also not wearing a seat belt.
His three passengers suffered cuts and bruises, and were transported to Mercy Medical Center for further treatment. Those passengers were identified as 26-year-old Travis Burns of Huntington Beach, 23-year-old Russell Edwards of Orange, and 22-year-old Anthony Slater of Orange. All three of them were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, which still currently remains under investigation.
