65-Year-Old Arbuckle Man Dies after Vehicle Crashes into Trees near Country Road 8
ORLAND, CA (December 18, 2018) – A man was killed Tuesday afternoon following a solo crash near Country Road 8. The victim was later identified as 65-year-old Bradford Glenn West, a resident of Arbuckle.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 12:30 PM. A Chevrolet truck was heading south on Interstate 5 when it veered abruptly toward the right and drove off the road.
The vehicle then entered an orchard, where it crashed into a perimeter and two trees. West, the sole occupant of the pickup, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the fatal crash and to identify possible contributing factors. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to call (530) 662-4685. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
